Thursday Thirteen #1

IF YOU CAME HERE FROM THURSDAYTHIRTEEN.COM PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT MY CURRENT TT, SOMEHOW THE LINK TAKES YOU HERE INSTEAD.

One of the websites that's been on the edges of my blog-conciousness is Thursday Thirteen. The idea is that each Thursday you post a list of 13 things about yourself that others might not know, and then add a link at the T13 website so other participants can find you. They have tons of cool tools to use if you want to get all fancy. It's all about lists, and reading other people's lists. Right up my alley! Since I only just decided to do this and Thursday is mostly over, I'm starting with something easy. So here's my first...

... Thirteen Things that are in my purse ...

  1. My book (currently Something From the Nightside by Simon R. Green)
  2. Purell hand sanitizer
  3. A small screwdriver (Phillips)
  4. Two Sharpies (silver and dark pink)
  5. Bills
  6. Tide-To-Go stick
  7. Two checkbooks, both without any actual checks
  8. A book of Kakuro puzzles
  9. Two small notebooks (one for permanant notes, one for temporary)
  10. Cell phone
  11. A small Big Bird
  12. A small tape measure
  13. A Cadbury egg (shhhh...)

You can find a lot more Thursday Thirteen participants here.

  2. My dh laughs at me all the time because I carry that Tide Stick around, but have yet to have a stain that it worked on. Hope springs eternal in my purse!

  3. The other day my huge purse was getting very heavy so I dumped it out and found....$40+ dollars in change at the bottom and the lip gloss I was sure one of my daughter's borrowed and never returned :) I'm switching to the msaller purse now until my shoulders even back out again! Enjoyed your list! Happy TT! Jessica

  4. You can always tell mothers by the toys/child friendly junk in their purses.

  5. If that were my purse the egg would've already melted all over everything else. Candy can melt in my purse in winter. It's weird.

  6. Jane, I LOVE the Tide stick, and it seems to work for me. Bummer that it doesn't for you.

Babystepper, amazingly, the egg is STILL in my purse. It's achieved Emergency Ration status now and I keep saving it for when I REALLY need it!

  9. I am known for winning at candle/jewelry/cooking/ parties for having the most stuff in my purse (and the strangest). Great post... mine is about the books I want to read this year.

  12. I keep a book in my purse at all times. I have this fear of having to wait in line somewhere and not having anything to read. I might need therapy.

  13. And how big is this purse?? I can't fit a book in my purse but I always have one in my car. Had to chuckle at you having a Tide Stick in your purse. . . but then again I probably should carry one around.
