- Smoking. (Oh wait, I don't smoke)
- Thursday Thirteens
As it turns out, this will be the last week for an official Thursday Thirteen. If you are curious as to why you can read about it here. You can also go visit other thirteens at that link. I was just getting started with this and was having fun making the lists so I might have to find a way to continue a regular list on my own.
Thursday Thirteen has come to an end.
ReplyDeleteI have enjoyed my visits here and consider us friends.
Thank you for sharing your thirteens with me.
The comments you left me filled me with glee.
It is hard to believe it is really true.
I am trying very hard to not be blue.
Happy TT'ing!

I couldn't give up chocolate, nope! And the coffee...not sure about that one either since I'm a Starbucks junkie. :)
ReplyDeleteMy 13 are up.
I loved your list. I am not Catholic but I should have given something up

ReplyDeleteHysterical list. I wish I'd thought of it. Hope to see you around the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteGood list. I don't think I could have given up coffee (with a 5 month old coffee is practically a necessity), chocolate, or the internet. My addictions are just too strong!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, how did it take us this long to find each other??? I'm bookmarking you; you've got a new friend! (if you want to exchange links, let me know)
ReplyDeleteHowever, the mere thought of giving up either chocolate or my XM radio gives me the DTs. Not doing it. Glad I'm not Catholic -- aren't you glad, too? *grin*
Happy final TT. Come visit West of Mars more often; I suspect you'll like to hang there!
I'm not Catholic either, although I've considered giving up something for lent. Better get started, we're 2 days into it! Thanks for stopping by my TT!
ReplyDeleteI'm a junk food junkie. I recently gave up sweets (desserts, candy, all sweets) to fast for a friend.
ReplyDeleteEvery time I craved the sweets I prayed for her. Funny thing was I was tempted everywhere I went. LOL! God helped me keep on track.
I ended up losing 15 pounds! NO LIE!
Everything worked out well for my friend (whom I was fasting for).
Oh, and no, I'm not a catholic. :o) I am a believer though.
Have a blessed Thursday!
I could never give up magazines, or chocolate for that matter! And TT's... I hope not. I hope someone takes over TT, so this won't be our last!
ReplyDeleteMy TT shows 13 pics of me.
I'm still considering giving something up- I haven't bought any books in TWO WHOLE DAYS nor anything else for myself. I might try to continue with that (books from paperbackswap.com being ok).
ReplyDeleteOr I might talk myself out of everything- on the logic that I'm not Catholic anyway.
I am not catholic either. I am also a TT newbie. This weeks #3 for me. I am not completely convinced that this will end. I was just on the site this evening . . . it looks like it may come back in a different format. Let's keep our collective fingers crossed. My 13 are up too!
ReplyDeleteI noticed reading was not on your list! :-)
ReplyDeleteBecause I'm not CRAZY!
ReplyDelete(didn't finish my thought) I did read a book last year in which the author gave up reading for Lent. I want to say it's one of Lauren Winner's? but she might be Jewish.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like it will continue under a new owner.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.
TT will continue!!!
ReplyDeleteYOur list is funny--I love the smoking thing LOL
