So, how was your weekend? Read any good books?
My weekend was busy, but no books were finished. I'm nearly at completion on a couple different ones- Lean Mean Thirteen, A Fistful of Charms, Glass Houses- but haven't actually finished any. Last week didn't see much reading done either. I did sit here one night and read through an old romance novel from my college days, but it wasn't on any lists, and won't get me any PBS credits.
I'm doing very poorly on challenges. It's pretty much a given at this point that I won't be doing any of the Southern Reading books on time. I'm hoping that by giving myself a little break I will fire myself up for it again soon.
So what did I do this weekend? I took my son to the park, we went to Old MacDonald's Farm, we went out to lunch with friends. (The Monkey dumped my plate on the floor while I was away from the table. Thanks.)
I made two new bags and posted them to my Etsy shop, go check them out. The blue one is very lightweight, the kind of bag you'd just throw things in and go.
The New York Metropolitan Museum one turned out GREAT, very sturdy, lots of shape to it. I've made a new blog for my little business, I wanted something to put on my business cards. If you're way at all interested in the crafty thought process, you can find it here. My husband would appreciate anyone who would talk to me about this stuff, as I think I've asked him one too many times his thoughts on seams and handles. Since I took the plunge for business cards I figure I better have some product up, so I've been sewing and planning like crazy.

I'm still trying to complete my challenges but I'm not doing so good either. Oh well. It's fun trying anyway.
ReplyDeleteVery cute bags by the way! How do you like Etsy? I love shopping there.
I just got back from vacation and I'm trying to catch up on all my favorite blogs!! It's funny. I normally read a ton on vacation. This time, I only finished 1 book!
ReplyDeleteI love that blue bag. If only I *needed* a new bag. I'm always interested to see the new designs you're coming up with. You're so creative.
ReplyDeleteNeed, schmeed! I can make one in your favorite colors... you can buy your own fabric...
ReplyDeleteSeriously tho, thanks for the compliment!
