Several months ago my cousins approached me about making a quilt for my aunt. My uncle passed away in 2004 and they were interested in making a memorial quilt. I agreed to do so, they sent met the shirts and they sat in my sewing area for months while I planned my strategy (and gathered my nerve before cutting into the shirts!) Finally this fall I took the plunge and these quilts are the result. The original plan was just to make the one quilt for my aunt, but I couldn't very well not send one to each cousin as well!
