So, lets say YOU won an Amazon.com gift certificate for $25. What would you buy? No, I'm not giving mine away, I just want to know what new and exciting book (or thing) you'd get.
I'm considering Bone Crossed by Patricia Briggs and The Creative Family by Amanda Soule, among others.

I'd probably buy this year's Printz award winner, Jellicoe Road. It sounds great, and plus I've loved all the Printz winners and honor books I've read.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win!
I'd buy a swank book bag to carry my books in but you can make one of those. Maybe this will help:

I always have a hard time deciding.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the giftcard! I would buy a cookbook. Maybe Bon Appetit Ya'll:)
ReplyDeleteI'd probably buy One Block Wonders or the sequel.
ReplyDelete(A quilt book- they're the only ones I read over and over and can justify spending money on!)
Ooh. I've completely lost the ability to shop for myself, so I'd probably go for children's books. We just placed an order, but I think my next one will be Goodnight, Gorilla, Yes Yes No No, and Ten in the Bed. I have an amazon credit card, so I do get those $25 reward checks now and then and I usually use them to buy stuff he's loved at the library. Fun question!
ReplyDeleteThe Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. I have a whole list of books I'd like to get, but that's the top of my list. And I bet you'd still have 15 bucks left over.
ReplyDeleteYay for you!!!
I've been coveting Sing Them Home, Stephanie Kallos's latest, for a while now, so probably that one.
ReplyDeletejellicoe road IS really good, i'd buy r.j anderson "Faery Rebels" (or knife), Janette Rallison's "My Fair Godmother", Justine Larbalestier's "How to Ditch Your Fairy", Mckillip's "The Bell at Sealey Head"... ok i think i am over 25!! :)
ReplyDeleteI still have not spent it! It feels more precious that gold.
