It's Friday and you know what that means! More randomness! Now with more !!!!!!
- I find myself commenting "I have that in the TBR" WAY too often lately. I need to get to reading or give some books away.
- I have three review books sitting here, reviews undone, books unread. I need to get to reading on those too.
- And speaking of comments, I've been replying to some people via email (LOVE that!) and some people in the comments section on the blog, and I'm starting to get confused.
- I joined the cult. I bought The 30 Day Shred. Now I just need to take the cellophane off the DVD.
- I really want these shoes. Really really. I might go buy them.
- I want one of these for my birthday. Do you think that being pink would keep the Pirate from stealing it to use as a rope? (Seriously. If you're one of the people who read my blog who buys me a birthday gift, I really do.)
- I'll be single parenting for part of this weekend. Is it bad that the activity the Pirate and I are most looking foward to is our trip to TARGET. (See above mention of the shoes.)
- I learned to make buttonholes this week. They are so much easier than I thought!
- The Baby Laptop is here! I named her Frances. If you can correctly identify why, I'll send you a prize. (No idea what, but hey, a prize is a prize, right?) If more than one person tells me, I'll draw for a winner. Contest ends whenever I feel like it, so comment early.
What is your random thought for today?
.
Stimulate the economy and buy the shoes. The tape measure being pink won't stop the Pirate from using it as a rope. I can't figure out why you named your baby laptop Frances - I guess I'm slow today.
ReplyDeleteI wish everyone had their profile set to let you email them back. It's SO convenient.
ReplyDeleteFun shoes too! Such a summery color!
I'm with Kathy - buy the shoes! I'm stumped on Frances, too. Is it from France? And I thought it was pink? Did you not go pink? Oh, and Mike (my laptop) wants to see a picture...he's thinking of asking her out. ;-)
ReplyDeleteFrances the Badger?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the laptop (and happy early birthday!). I'll guess the first thing that came to mind - the children's book Bread and Jam for Frances. Pink laptop = jam? Of course my guess has to relate to a kids book. : )
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to purge my shelves of books that I have read and will never ever read again or books that I haven't read and have no interest in reading. I thought about doing a giveaway on my blog, but I hate saying--"I hated these books and now I'm going to pass them on to you." Million Little Pieces anyone?? :)
ReplyDeleteFrances huh? My car's name is Lola Sunshine. Her predecessor was Sheila Bubbles (we called her Mrs. Bubbles).
I love Target--enjoy your trip!!
[read-a-thon, read-a-thon, read-a-thon]
I dropped in to congratulate you on your Splash award from Alyce over AT HOME WITH BOOKS but found as well a great blog and super posts...I will be back...shall see if there is a place to follow..thanks and congrats!
ReplyDeleteHaven't a clue why you named your laptop that but I like it ;) I have so many books that I need to get to...it isn't even funny. What can you do but read and read some more? LOL!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the buttonholes :) And the laptop. I'm waiting on my new laptop right now, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm just dropping by to let you know that I've given you an award:

Buy the shoes-they are perfect for upcoming season although here in Iowa it is snowing today so it is hard to think about bare toes!
ReplyDeleteI say that a lot too, Lisa, about having the mentioned book in my TBR. I need to spend some quality time with my books tomorrow, I think!
ReplyDeleteIt would probably confuse me too, commenting both ways. :-) Hopefully you'll settle into what works best for you.
Did you end up buying the shoes?
I haven't heard of the 30 day shred. You'll have to let us know how it turns out. I think the pink will probably keep him from it - my husband wouldn't want to use anything pink.
ReplyDeleteAbout the Frances question, I'm guessing Frances Hodges Burnett - The Secret Garden. It's the first Frances that came to mind.
LOL about saying you have that in the TBR, I do that all the time, too. :) I don't think I'll be giving any books away, though!
ReplyDeleteEveryone, I BOUGHT THE SHOES. Now tell the snow to go away.
ReplyDeleteTrish, that "here, I hate this one!" problem is why you should join Paperbackswap! (still working out read-a-thon details!)
Bingo, thanks for stopping by. I love new followers.
Amanda, the buttonholes were SO MUCH easier than I thought they would be. I watched a little youtube video first.
