I seem to have missed Friday! Have some kid pictures to make up for it.
We had a crazy week, ending with a horrible Friday.
I have three books sitting here to review. I need someone to kick me in gear.
I also have another custom bag to work on this weekend, so I'm sure you'll all be seeing some sewing posts in the near future.
There's still a few days left to enter my TBR contest so hop on over to that post.
We are going to the fair today (Saturday). The "must dos" include the ferris wheel, the little game where you pick up a duck and win a "prize", throwing ping pong balls at goldfish, and a funnel cake. What is on your must do list for the fair? What are you doing this weekend?

Sorry to hear you had a lousy day yesterday. Your kids are adorable! I can't tell you the last time we went to a Fair - I bet it's been close to 20 years ago.
ReplyDeleteNext week is my birthday and also the first weekend of the fair but they had the nerve to make it a $1 day so there is no way in HECK that I will be there that day. It's just gonna be too crowded. But if I WERE going, the musts would include:
ReplyDeleteA ginormous corn dog
A funnel cake or an elephant ear
A roasted corn cob
I don't like Fair rides but if I had to choose I like the long slide that you zip down on while sitting on a potato sack.
Have fun. Sorry your Friday left a lot to be desired.
Oh, and here is the kick in the tush you need to get those books reviewed. Kick!
I've never been to a big state fair, but we're planning on it in September. I'm really excited. Because I've never been, I don't have any big must-do's yet, except that I want to pick up a packet for the quilting challenge for next year. We've developed a habit of taking the little man on a carousel whenever we see one. And I love a nice cold lemonade when it's broiling hot out. We tried cotton candy at an event a few months ago, and he looked at us like we had 6 heads. No way was he putting that stuff in his mouth. Love your random Friday posts (they're like a peek inside my head, which always seem to be filled with random thoughts).
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering what the outcome of Friday was! And the Pirate looks adorable in that picture--Bug looks pretty cute too, but there's something about that little smirk/smile.
ReplyDeleteFried fatty food is a must for the fair. YummY!
Oh my goodness. How cute are your boys?!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had fun at the fair--one of my favorite things about summer, even though we haven't gone in a few years. Hot days, cotton candy, cold fresh lemonade, the animal smells, the ferris wheel, coming home with a goldfish in a baggie.... It's so magical when the kids are the ages of your little ones.
Look at your boys growing up so quickly! You know, I miss the fair. There'd always by the county fair and then the state fair and I'd try to go to both. Nothing like that here. Sure they have some fair type rides around every once in awhile, but it doesn't have that same atmosphere.
