Monday morning catching up

Easing back into this blogging thing today-

I have now finished three books that I need to review. I have two more marketing/crafty business books to talk about. This one has been doing some reading too. Just look at this cutie and his book-

(Shoulda cropped that down some so you could really see the crazy grin on his face.)

I have a brand spankin' new header for the fall, be sure to click over and take a look. I think I like it, but can you tell that the Pirate is playing hopskotch? (He drew it himself, which is why it doesn't so much LOOK like hopskotch.) Perhaps I should replace that picture with this one:

(I asked if Darth Vader cut off his hands. He told me, "No mom, they are just inside my coat." I love that even with his crazy big imagination that he still thinks I was REALLY asking.)

I grabbed a bunch of library returns this morning on my way out, so I could drop them in the box at lunch. Then I got to work early and instead of reading Hunting Ground , which is the book I brought to read, I picked up one of the library books that I had intended to return unread. So I guess now I'll be reading Always Looking Up: The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist by Michael J. Fox. It kinda makes me want to start watching Spin City reruns too.

What's new in your life? Have I missed anything major? And surprisingly great books that I need to be looking for? New blog headers? Fill me in since I'll be skimming my reader instead of reading carefully!

  3. Love the header, Lisa. Especially the middle picture with the boys in the leaf pile. One of my favorite things about fall! Not the raking part... just the fun you can have with the piles afterward! ;)

  6. Such cuties. :-) Your new header is perfect, Lisa.

You'll have to let me know what you think of Michael J. Fox's book. I had a little crush on him way back when (Family Ties days--boy, does that show my age).

  7. First off I love the header. It's perfect.

And thank you for reminding me to renew my library book today. I have a post-it note right in front of me, reminding me to do so but the note has been there all week and I had gotten used to it.

Nothing new really to speak of except I think I pissed off some of the members in my current library group by deciding to start my own group in 2010. I meant no harm of course and actually still plan to attend the other group too but I am getting the curt replies right now.

Oh, and I got my car back. A little overspray issue left to deal with but it feels good to be back in my own car and not that horrid rental.

  8. I really like your header.
I read the Michael J. Fox book a while ago...I wanted it to be more about his personal life, not so much about his work on fighting Parkinsons Disease, so I ended up skimming it. I will be anxious to hear what you think of it.
