Random Friday: Change so slow it's invisible

  • Thanks for all your great feedback on my post about change. I think what I really crave is more conversation. Or even more comments. Some days your comments are the only adult interaction I get!
  • I'm crazy, and I'm not doing it, but I so want to join this stitch along. I'm getting more and more interested in handwork lately. And no, I don't have time for more projects!
  • Speaking of projects, the hexes continue to multiple, slowly. (See sidebar for current count!)
  • Yesterday I registered the Pirate for first grade. First grade! Next up, school supplies shopping! I love school supplies.
  • I find myself slightly obsessed with pretty journal pages like this one. And this one. (See: no time for more projects.)
  • This weekend: more camping! Yay!
  • I made two more banners this week. I have two more in the works. (I'm struggling to find a good spot for pictures in this apartment. WAY too dark in the bedroom!)
  • I have started working on some simple tote bags with custom words on them, like say, to match the banners?
  • I'm about to watch the So You Think You Can Dance finale. Shhh. Don't tell me who won. (But I hope it's Melanie!)
  • Hey! Are you following the shop on Facebook? Why not?
What I Read This week:
  • Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris is really the only thing I've picked up. It was a rough start for me, I felt like she might just be bored with the series and phoning it in.  Fortunately, the plot picked up a little and I'm liking it. (Does anyone else miss the easy linking to Amazon in the sidebar while composing your post?)

  1. Whew, you do stay busy! Have you heard that the woman who plays Minny in The Help is an Auburn graduate? She stole the movie in my humble opinion.

  2. I crave conversation as well which is why I think I stress about blogging so much.

I'm envious of your camping. I want to go camping so badly but it's so damn hot here. Probably won't have camping weather until October or November!

  4. I don't know how you manage to corral all the things you need for a family of five with three young people to go camping!

  5. You are the camping queen! I am not a good camper. You and I discussed that before. Haha!

Hope you are enjoying yourself. Kids are back in school this week. I am not looking forward to the mounds of homework.

  6. I love that stitch along idea but, yeah, I don't need another project either. I'm crocheting a scarf right now.

And I love school supplies too. That was always the best part of August.

  7. I love the relationships that I've been able to develop with other bloggers...so I understand the need for conversation completely. And I remember all too well the days when I was staying at home with the little ones with little adult conversation to come by.
