RF: Walking!

  • Is it just me or are Fridays coming faster lately?
  • Guess who learned to walk this week?
  • We're headed back to Rapid City tonight for a big birthday party tomorrow. (Not my kids, a friend.) Mike is not going. I'm jealous of his entire night of uninterrupted sleep in a quiet apartment.
  • But I will get to have Starbucks while we're there, yes!
  • I made a dress for the birthday girl.Pillow case dress for a friend
  • Our school system is taking pictures on registration day (next week) instead of during the school year. I haven't ever heard of another school doing that.
  • I need to figure out how to download audio books and podcasts to my phone. I'd prefer they were free. Any suggestions?
  • Formatting is all off on this post, sorry.
Books I Read:
  • Divergent by Veronica Roth. Still enjoying it, but Mike stole it so I've mostly been reading other things.
  • Love Is the Higher Lawby David Levithan. Finished this one. It was good, but despite the topic (9/11) I wasn't as emotionally invested in it as the author would have expected.   There isn't really a plot at all, it's about processing the event and I suspect native New Yorkers would feel it more.
  • Dead Reckoning (Sookie Stackhouse, Book 11) by Charlaine Harris. Just started this one last night. Wish I had it on audio for the car ride.

    2. I'm in disbelief that she's already walking, too! That dress you made is adorable! I literally *just* received the library notification that they're holding Dead Reckoning for me. I don't think I'll make it over there before they close this afternoon, but it's my first stop tomorrow morning. I know what I'll be doing all weekend...

    3. I use OverDrive from the public library and download free books to my phone and iPod. Have you checked your library's collection?

PS - the rocker sleeper thing is AMAZING! Love it, thank you for the recommendation!

Oh I loved Divergent! Hope you get it back soon.

I'm still figuring out the iPod/iPhone audio thing too. Will let you know what I figure out.

That dress is adorable. You're so lucky to be able to make such cute things for the kids and as gifts.

    6. We love the dress and will send photo's as soon as I can. It was wonderful to see you and your kids today. It was fun to see Addie and Noah playing with the Justin B barbie. Wish I would have snapped aa photo of that, or anything for that matter! I miss you so much Lisa and I hope you know that.
