Batgirl is confused by her cape.

July 2. Batgirl is confused by her cape.

  • Look at this cool library in an abandoned Walmart. I'd love to hang out there.
  • Don't forget to join in on our new Where in the World are you Reading? meme (#wwread)
  • We had new neighbors move in yesterday. We haven't met them yet but they have a little girl around 5 or 6.
  • I made another eReader case this week bringing my total to three.
  • I was reading that planks are the new crunches, so have been doing planks twice a day. I am almost embarrassed to realize how challenging they are for me. Much quicker than crunches though.
  • Mike and I are contemplating similar but not exactly the same anchor tattoos like this or this or maybe this.  His fake heart attack seems to have made us fall back in love again- not that we were OUT of love, mind you. Just it made us remember we're more than just parents. Highly recommended.
What I Read This Week (And other Bookish Notes):
  • I revisted NetGalley. I'd signed up before but the format did not work on my iPhone. Now that I have the Nook I went back and downloaded At Last by Jill Shalvis. This was my first book by Shalvis and I really enjoyed it. I'll post a brief review of it next week.
  • I worked on The Stand a bit more. I'm SO far behind. I'm tempted to buy the ebook since it's so dang unportable.
  • I have roughly 30 library books staring me in the face, not to mention the ones on my Nook. I started The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E Smith, but the writing style is awkward to me. I'd like to finish it because I like the premise, but with so many others waiting I'm just not sure. Someone advise me.

  1. I'm going to have to Google planks now. I really enjoyed The Statistical Probability of Love!

  2. My nook cover is THE CUTEST THING EVER!!!!

I love the picture of the Princess. Greyson runs around with a couch doily wrapped around him as a "cape."

  4. I love her.

I like the last anchor tattoos.. the really small ones!

I love looking at tattoos on other people, but don't think I want one myself because they are so permanent. However, I decided IF I were ever to get one.. it would be a small Ironman logo like THIS. Of course that means I'd have to do an Ironman.. haha! Not happening!!!

  5. Sounds like you an Mike had the same reaction to a death scare as we did. It's so easy to settle into a routine and love each other but forget that you're still "in love" with each other. Nothing like the thought of losing someone to remind you how much they matter to you!

  6. I'm SO far behind in The Stand too! I've been considering grabbing the book for my Kindle as well not only because it will be easier to carry around but then I won't feel so bad when I finish WAY after everyone is else is through.

  7. THAT PICTURE!!! you know I'm not checking Google Reader very often these days so when there's a picture like this you must let me know!!!! It's hilarious.

And I must say that I have seen the difference since the "episode"--think it's pretty awesome.

What about the planks where you bring your knee to your armpit (alternating sides). Seriously--KILLER. There's so many things you can do when you get the normal plank down--not that I can personally do one right now for more than 10 seconds.
