  1. I can't believe you haven't seen The Sound of Music! That's a good one--also Schindler's.

    Mine's up.

  2. I haven't seen the Sound of Music either. LOL. Thank you for stopping by my website!

  3. I've seen and enjoyed:

    Sixteen Candles
    Heathers
    Say Anything
    Schindler's List
    Animal House

I've seen and...well, don't really have to see again:

    Sound of Music

I'm resisting seeing Napoleon Dynamite, and while I'll probably see PotC2, I don't see myself sitting down to any of the Rocky movies any time soon. I know some of the "iconic" scenes only because I've been on the planet :D

Sometimes, it's nice to not have seen the same movie that "everybody" has...

  4. I have never seen Pride and Prejudice, Heathers, Say Anything, Schindler's list and Scream.
I was told that I really should see Schindler's list by a Danish family that I was staying with, but the movie just seems depressing to me.
The Rocky movies are campy and there are great lines in Napoleon Dynamite, although it has the stupidest plot ever.
Good list, I may keep it in mind for me someday.

  5. yeah, but if they were books, you'd have been there six times over, right?

We ought to have a movie marathon blog weekend or something and fix these movie deficiencies we've got.

    happy TT!

  6. if you must see the sound of music, the best way is to find a movie theatre that is showing the singalongasound of music version. kind of a rocky horror picture show version with audience participation, etc.

    happy tt

  7. You have to see Pride & Prejudice. It is excellent Lisa.

  8. I've never seen Schindler's List or Napoleon Dynamite either, but Pride and Prejudice is on my TT for an entirely different reason :-)

  9. Ohhhh, I did this same topic for a TT awhile ago! How I can relate!

I haven't seen any Rocky movies either, and I tried to watch Animal House and thought it was ridiculous (the whole time my husband was cracking up next to me). Ugh.

I haven't seen Heathers or Schindler's List either.

But I LOVE the Sound of Music, and I really enjoyed PotC2, although not as much as #1. I thought Napoleon Dynamite was overrated.

Thanks for stopping by my TT!

  10. You have missed some good flicks!
Thanks for coming by my T13.

  11. WHAT??? You have NEVER seen Napoleon Dynamite?? And Sixteen Candles?? It is a John Hughes CLASSC! OH MY! That has a cast that made many a great actor -- Anthony Michael Hall, Molly Ringwold, John AND Joan Cusak...the list goes on! Classic girl like boy, boy taken, boy finds out girl likes boy, boy saves the day :)

Samantha: Thanks for getting my undies back.
    Jake: Thanks for coming over.
Samantha: Thanks for coming to get me.
Jake: Happy Birthday, Samantha. Make a wish.
    Samantha: It already came true.

    Enjoy!

  12. Hi Lisa! I haven't seen 8 of these either!

  13. Say Anything is the greates movie ever.

You may get a chance to see Sound of Music, it used to be a spring/Easter tradition

  14. Mixed review here with me, I've seen some and own a couple of the ones on your list. Then, like you, there's ones I haven't seen (Exorcist, Braveheart, Heathers, Schindler's, ND, Scream, etc).

But here, this always trumps everyone. I've never seen the Wizard of Oz. And I don't plan too either! I get a lot of flack for that one, hehehe! :)

    Have a great day!

  15. Some of them I really want to see, like P&P and Say Anything, but some of them (Animal House? Rocky? Eh.) All of them are things people express disbelief over.

  16. I know how you feel when you have to add "really." I have to do that whenever I confess that I've only seen the first "Star Wars" movie and remember very little about it. "Yes, really." My TT is up and it's movie quotes -- but none from any of the films on your list.

  17. I have to admit that I'm surprised by some of the movies you haven't seen, but then again, some people are surprised by the movies I've never seen, lol

Out of your list I've seen:
    Pirates of the Caribbean 2
    Braveheart
    Sixteen Candles
    Heathers
    The Sound of Music
    Napoleon Dynamite
    Scream

    I've partially seen:
    The Exorcist
    Animal House

    And I've never seen:
    Pride & Prejudice
    Say Anything
    Schindler's List
    Rocky

  18. WHAT!!!! ???? Not seen them!

Pride & Prejudice (well, I don't blame you on this one. I don't like the story so I don't ever plan to see the movie)

    The Exorcist (It's a classic! A classic!)

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (Johnny is just too nummy to miss! You've got to watch just for the eye candy)

Braveheart (I don't much care for these epic movies. My mother talked me in to watching this one. I'd pass on ever seeing it again)

Sixteen Candles (another classic, it was one of my favorites as a kid)

Heathers (This was such a trippy movie!)

    Say Anything

The Sound of Music (POOP! I don't like it)

Schindler's List (Moving! This was a great movie.)

Napoleon Dynamite (I love/hate this movie. It's hard to explain)

Rocky (any of them, actually) (I will NEVER EVER EVER watch one... ick)

Scream (Yup, it's a great movie!)

Animal House (Classic man, how can you miss out on the Belushi action?)

  19. Great list! I've never been interested in the Rocky movies or Braveheart, but I've seen the rest. Heathers is probably my all time fav, but you have to have a weird sense of humor to enjoy it. Happy Thursday and thanks for visiting!

  20. I have not seen all of those on your list either.
    Terrific Thursday Thirteen!
    Thank you for your visit.
    Have a wonderful day!
    Happy TT'ing!

  21. I've never seen the Exorcist or Scream or Animal House -- and don't want to!! I haven't seen any of the Rocky movies, either, but some time I'd like to check out the first one. Haven't seen Sixteen Candles or Heathers or Say Anything (haven't even heard of the last two.) Loved P&P, Braveheart, Sound of Music. Didn't get Napoleon Dynamite. Only saw part of Schindler's list.

    Interesting TT!

  22. There are lots of movies on your list that I haven't seen either!
I have seen 16 candles and it is very good. :)

    Great idea!

  23. Pride & Prejudice--Watch it now (the BBC version)!!
Exorcist--I read this book when I was about 10. (Yuck) I have NO desire to see the movie.
Pirates of the Caribbean 2--just okay
    Braveheart--excellent movie!
Sixteen Candles--loved this as a teenager
    Heathers--haven't seen this either
    Say Anything--okay
The Sound of Music--a must see at some point
Schindler's List--heartbreaking but "must see" movie
Napoleon Dynamite--I have a feeling this one improves with repeat viewing
Rocky (any of them, actually)--I liked the first one
    Scream--haven't seen it
Animal House--I didn't like this one

    Great list!

  24. I have never seen "Pride & Prejudice" or "Say Anything."

I have had a chance to see Schindler's List but just haven't had the ability to concentrate through it....a pretty intense movie when one is supposed to be doing important studying.

I had no wish to see Napoleon Dynamite though I know that a lot of people like it.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh wow! Some of those are our favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I haven't seem Heathers & Say Anything either.

I loved the quirkiness of Napoleon Dynamite.

And, I'm a child of the 80s - so 6teen candles is a sentimental favorite.

Mines up too! All about chickens.

  27. I really want to watch the Schindler's List!! I've hear great comment about that one, but never gor a chance to get my hand on the movie!!
And to response to your comment and Susan's one, I will probably be watching some movie this weekend, but we could have a review of them... There is place for that on my second site, if you are interested... Let me know in a comment on one of my blog...

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'd say you're not missing much with most of those.... :) Pirates 2 wasn't half as good as the first!
