Mailbox Monday

Ok, so I'm not really sure which of these were in the last 7 days, but I've gotten a few books in lately.

  • The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs
  • Through the Narrow Gate: A Memoir of Spiritual Discovery By Karen Armstrong
  • The Reader by Bernhard Schlink
  • In the Woods by Tana French
  • Gift From the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh
  • Let it Snow by John Green, Lauren Myracle, and Maureen Johnson
There are a few more en route to me from Paperbackswap, so I better get to reading! This is why I don't take my account off vacation hold very often.

  2. I've enjoyed both of French's books, The Reader makes you think about morality, and Anne Morrow Lindbergh's prose is beautiful. The other two also sound interesting. Great haul!

  11. Oooh, you got some good stuff! I want to read The Year of Living Biblically. It's been eons, but I've read the Anne Morrow Lindbergh and loved it. Enjoy reading! I know what you mean about going on vacation hold. It's like they're on a conveyor belt and they just keep piling up behind the wall before you open the door, then you get a flood of books after vacation.

  12. bookfool, I just like to not have to worry about mailing books for long stretches of time. I'd rather have the backlog all at once and then be done for a while.
