Snow Day!
Yesterday we had a record high of 78. Today every school in town is canceled, tons of businesses closed early and my daycare was closed because of a BLIZZARD.
It also happens to me my husband's birthday. The boys and I had the brilliant idea to go to the store and buy stuff for a cake, since we were home anyway. I failed to take into consideration that everyone else in town would be there buying milk and toliet paper. We stocked up on soda, apples, wine and cheese its.
The cake is made and the banner is hung. It'll be a nice quiet birthday celebration.

Happy Bday to your Hubby! I love the banner.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here was weird yesterday. It was sunny, but pouring down rain for a couple of hours. Today it's dry but cold and windy.
Crazy weather. Hope your hubby has a happy birthday!
ReplyDeleteThe weather really has been crazy this year! Hope it was a great birthday celebration despite the weather!
ReplyDeleteOh my! That's quite a shift in weather, isn't it? I hope your husband had a wonderful birthday.
ReplyDeletenow i want a snow day!!! we only had one this year here in nj. bummer. hope your hubby enjoyed his b-day.
ReplyDeletewanted to mention that we visited sd 2 summers ago...and made the touristy stops in mitchell, wall, and keystone. the wide-open land was shocking to us...nj is just a tad crowded in comparison. lovely state you've got there...enjoy it. :)
That is some crazy weather! Happy Birthday to the hubby!
ReplyDeleteYour grocery lists sounds like ours...just the essentials :) Happy Birthday to your husband! Hopefully it'll be spring soon!
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone, I think he had a nice birthday, even with the blizzard.
ReplyDeletebooklineandsinker- when I first moved here at age 27 the wide open spaces freaked me out. It was like a mild case of agoraphobia- I even would start crying if we were out on the prairie at night. However, blizzard days aside, it really is an unexpectedly beautiful place.
Happy birthday, Mike! We're warm right now but I just heard on the news that we're in for a cold front. What the heck--when is Spring going to just kick that Winter's butt into next year??
ReplyDeleteWow, that is crazy weather!! It's nice to have the time off, but at this point I'd rather have the 78 degrees. Enjoy your time home with the kids.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny Lisa, you comment as I was writing up yet ANOTHER Snow Day post!
