We had a great camping trip this weekend, despite a little rain. The Bug is going through a clingy stage, which was a bit tiring, and it's still really hard to get them to sleep in the camper but otherwise it was perfect. The dog did not unplug the camper and it was very comfortable inside. We went on a little hike and since we were the only ones on the trail we let Scout run off leash and she showed her good manners by coming back every time we called.
I only got to read for an hour or so total, but as soon as the Pirate goes down for his nap today I plan on picking my book up again.
(I can't wait til he learns about making rabbit ears!)
I wish every weekend were a three day weekend.

I showed my husband your post and he agreed with you - he wishes every weekend was a 3 day weekend. I was glad to see the dog didn't unplug the camper this time. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour kids are so cute, Lisa! I am glad you guys had a good weekend and that your dog behaved herself. :)
ReplyDeleteAwww: these pics are so cute. :) At least if you have to have a clingy baby, he's absolutely adorable at the same time!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect weekend! I wish every weekend was 3 day also--I would totally *try* to work 4 10 hour days to get an extra off.
ReplyDeleteEven with the Bug being clingy it still sounds like you managed to relax a bit. It will get easier as they get older. Trust me. I never even looked forward to vacation because my little one just would not let me sleep but it's so different now.
ReplyDeleteThree day weekends are the best. Going back to work after one? Not so much! We are all going to be crabby pants tomorrow.
Glad to see you had a great weekend!! At least the weather was kind to you!!
ReplyDeleteYour kids are just adorable!
It looks to have been a great weekend. I wish every weekend was a three day weekend. You make me want to go camping. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks as if everyone had a good time! Great way to spend a 3 day weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am very impressed with your camper, specially that part which sorta float out from the main part of the camper!
ReplyDeleteMemorial day was always camping weekend when I was younger! Your weekend looks like it was just perfect!
ReplyDeleteAs always your boys are adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad you had a great time. Gorgeous photos of the boys, especially The Bug in the camping chair. I did almost giggle (again) at the mention of what happened on your last trip, this one sounds like a much better experience. Was this last weekend? It must have been. We had a three day weekend as well and spent the whole three days out in the garden barbecueing. Fabulous. Long weekends every weekend! I'd back that plan.
ReplyDeleteLouise, that's a very common type of inexpensive camper around here. Kinda a starter camper. The top lifts up and then the sides pull out. It's small inside but if you don't plan to hang out in there it's fine.
ReplyDeleteJessica, except for the drizzle, it was perfect.
Thanks Natasha!
Everyone else, I think I already replied!
