I *really* want to read A Homemade Life now! It seems like everyone has loved it. :D
ReplyDeleteYou just reminded me that I own Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I totally forgot about it.
ReplyDeleteBoy's Life is one of my all time favorite books so I understand why it's on this list.
ReplyDeleteIt is difficult for me to pick favorite books because I usually don't feel as strongly about a book once I get some distance from it. Right now, the standout is the Sookie Stackhouse series, but that is because I am in the middle of it. I also enjoyed the light and fun Sue Barton nurse series that I just finished.
ReplyDeleteSo cool to see Wintergirls on your list too! I loved Animal, Vegetable, Miracle as well.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to look up a few of the titles on your list I haven't seen before... :)
I don't think I've heard of Boy's Life....I'll have to look into it. For 2010 I highly recommend The Help by Katherine Stockett. I will continue to rave about this one for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe Lace Reader and The Wednesday Wars are on my mental to read list for January. Glad you liked Animal, Vegetable, Miracle-one of my favorites as well.
ReplyDeleteOh, A Homemade Life, I meant to read that! I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember thinking I should read it. Of course, I promptly forgot. Thanks for reminding me!
ReplyDeleteI started The Lace Reader and set it aside for a review book and neglected to pick it back up. I need to do that! And I looooove Animal, Vegetable, Miracle as well. It changed our eating habits BIG TIME!
I'm off to check out your review of The Lace Reader..I must have missed it :) but I'm glad to see that you enjoyed it as much as I did. Sounds like you had a great year of reading!
ReplyDeleteGreat list, Lisa! I think it's fantastic that we have two favorites of 2009 in common! THE LACE READER is on my library loot list. I will get to it this year. I'm going to have to look into all of your others, too!
ReplyDeletep.s. You ARE the cool people, silly.
I have only read one of these. I guess I will have to get around to reading the others. :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm. I have a few of those but haven't read a single one. For shame!
ReplyDeleteI haven't done my best in 2009 or reading stats list yet either because I wasn't keeping track the last few months and have to input the information and figure it all out first which I keep putting off.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of those although I'd like to read a few of the YA books.
