- Is everyone shopping but me?
- I have to work tonight so I'll have my fill of retail without spending a dime.
- Today's goal is to get the rest of the owls in the shop before tomorrow.
- Ya'll know about Small Business Saturday, right? This is a terrific chance to show your support of non-box store businesses. Small businesses often get overlooked in the ease of one-stop shopping, but there are tons of great things to be found from independent businesses.
- I've started to notice that the Princess isn't a huge fan of drinking. She eats fine and she still nurses, but I think she's actually thirsty in the middle of the night, and isn't a fan of a sippy cup. Any suggestions?
- We had a lovely Thanksgiving, but I had to work last night and missed the PIE!
- I didn't write a post about everyone I was thankful for, but I wanted to say that I'm thankful for YOU. Yes, you. Thanks. You make me happy.
- Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. I stayed up late last night to finish. There's something about a Dessen hero.
- Only His by Susan Mallery. I'm not enjoying this one as much as the others. I haven't decided if I'm burnt out on the series or if it's just inferior.
- Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins. Ok, I haven't actually started it. I got it from the library Wednesday tho and I'm very excited to dive in. I loved Anna and the French Kiss.
Ok, off to take owl pictures before my day gets away from me!
I'm not shopping. We don't buy much for Christmas these days, but even if we did, you wouldn't catch me out today.
ReplyDeleteHave you tried a straw with the Princess?
I'm not shopping either.
ReplyDeleteMy daughters weren't big drinkers as toddlers either. Especially my first. Little sips of water throughout the day and she nursed, but that was it. What about a water bottle with a sports top instead of a sippy cup?
Wait, what? You MISSED PIE?
I hope you're having more than one piece tonight, then.
I'm thankful for you, too. xo
My son never drank much from sippy cups, so I switched him to straws. With my 2nd, I got her drinking from a straw at something like 5 months ("take & toss") and skipped sippie cups altogether. Except she just recently learned how to pull the straws out.
ReplyDeleteWill wasn't a big fan of sippy cups for a long time and was just drinking the occasional little sip from a regular glass. We bought something called a tilty cup that he loved and but was a little easier for him to work. After drinking from that for a bit he was able to move over to sippy cups with no problem.
ReplyDeleteI don't care how big a sale, I would never step foot in a store on Black Friday. That would be a form of torture for me!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of Small Business Saturday until recently. Scott has convinced me to make Christmas stockings so we headed to my local shop which was having a buy 3 get 2 free sale. Wahoo!
ReplyDeleteHope work is going well--sure the time goes fast anyway with how busy the holidays will be!
Thankful for you, too.
