- Round three of Pin It and Do it starts next week! Sign up here. I skipped the last round, but am in this time.
- This was a short week as the Pirate's school had two days off for teacher inservice and conferences. As expected, he's great academically but doesn't always listen so well.
- I have not been to workout since Monday and it is really starting to bother me. I never thought I'd be a person who needed the gym, but turns out I kind of am. Unfortunately, it will mean the 5th day in a row that the kids go to the Play Place and they are a little burnt out on it. It will be a bit of a struggle to get them moving and I'm not sure I'm up for it. I did check out a video from the library, but I'd have to clean the living room first.
- I'm starting to ramp up production for the Etsy shop for Christmas. The first thing I'm doing is e-book reader sleeves, so if you have a Nook or a Kindle and need a cover or know someone who needs one, please take a look. I'm also playing around with some hexie ideas (big surprise.)
- I haven't been thrifting in weeks. I'm going through withdrawal.
- Reading was unusually light this week, I'm not sure why.
- I started Matchedby Ally Condie for BlogHer Book Club.
- I'm STILL working on The Sleeping Night by Barbara Samuel. I got all into it and last night when I was away from home I took the Nook to read it and... dead battery. Grr.
- Triangle: The Fire That Changed America by David von Drehle. In hindsight, it seems logical that it would be all about labor unions, but I thought it'd be more about the actual working conditions. It's very slow going for me, but I am motivated to read it. I'm only 45 or so pages in, I'm reading at bedtime and it's not riveting, yet, anyway.
- Gone Girl: A Novel by Gillian Flynn. I'm listening to this on audio and (as Trish points out) have barely started.
I'm visiting blogs again as part of a mini-challenge for Bloggiesta. I decided to poke around my google reader for ones I hadn't been to in ages. Glad I came here and saw the Pinteresting Challenge for October. I'm pretty sure I'll take it on, but want to survive Bloggiesta first.
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks for the reminder - I need to figure out what kind of reader my sister has so I can order her a cover!
ReplyDeleteWell I'm sorry but it's true. And I only point that out because I'll be SO excited that I've listened to an hour on my way to work and then pick up my book to move my bookmark and realize it was 15 pages. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteYay Pin it Do it. I'll keep you accountable if you keep me accountable. Don't want to wait until last minute per usual...
I need to get back to working out! I was doing really good at the beginning of the month and then my son started football...basically everything dropped after that. Ugh! I need to get myself more organized for October! I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Gone Girl. I haven't read it yet myself but it sure seems like everyone else has :)
