Monsters and injuries.

Monster zipper pouches

  • I was holding off on posting until we heard from the lab on the Bug's biopsy, but so far, nothing. Yes, it's killing me too. The lump is harmless! Not cancer! Will dissipate on it's own! I totally cried.
  • This has been the most stressful week I've had in years. I'm fortunate to have a some good friends who have held me together and distracted me.
  • On Wednesday I was taking the kids to the car from the shop at the mall, and the Bug tried to escape. I gave chase, while carrying the Princess, and we all went down. The kids are fine. My knees are not. This is 24 hours later. The other one is less black, but much grosser. 24 hours later
  • I made some monsters for the mall. They are so stinking cute.
  • We woke up to snow this morning. My car doesn't do well on snow. Thankfully, we bought ourselves a new (to us) Blazer this week. $400 cash! It's not pretty to look at, but drives beautifully and has 4wd.  ($400= not a typo!)
  • As I type this I am resisting getting in my car and going to get a free kitten off Facebook. The Princess loves kittens with a passion usually reserved for women and chocolate, and she would be the happiest girl alive.

What I Read This Week (not much!):

  1. I've been wanting to read Running Away to Home. Maybe now I'll pick it up!

    On another note...your poor knees!!

  2. I'm so glad to hear the Bug's lump is benign. That has to be the best Christmas gift ever. Your knee looks very painful! Yikes!

  3. Great news - except for your knees! Cheers

  4. That is the best news ever about Bug. So happy for you. Sorry about the knee. I feel your pain. I slipped on the ice last winter while carrying my daughter. The knees were the safest way to fall so I didn't hurt her. Hopefully they heal soon.

  5. Oh, and those monster purse thingys are adorable! You make the cutest things.

  6. Hellfire woman! You need to text me when your week is going to shit in a handbasket and whatnot. So glad everything is ok with the kiddo's arm, and that knee looks yucky. I hope you're propping it up regularly. :)

  7. Ouch! I hope that it looks worse than it feels ;/ I'm so glad to hear the good news about Bug. I've been thinking about you guys and keeping him in my prayers. Hope you start feeling better soon!

  8. So so glad to hear about the Bug. What a huge relief.

  9. I ad a similar injury when I fell with my daughter after The Boy tripped me. Nothing like being hurt AND feeling like a fool. Hope you are all better now.

  10. What great news, Lisa! I can't even imagine the worry and fear you must have been feeling. I hope your knees are feeling better now!
