More posts I enjoyed on the Internets.

  1. Try the Story Girl series by Montgomery if you didn't like Anne or give the later ones in the Anne series a try. Under no circumstances should you read the Pat series. I like Anne and I want to smack her.

  2. The blog post that mentions 50 Shades is great. Although, I have to say I really liked Larsson's book and didn't mind the details. I didn't see where she argued James's book wasn't a romance novel--in fact, she refers to it as erotic romance a couple of times--but maybe that's in the comments? I didn't read through all of those.

I'm not much of a straight romance reader, but I would never judge romance based on one or two books, 50 Shades or what have you. Nor would I think less of someone who reads romance novels. It's sad that people do.

Personally, I find the hype and the heated debates about 50 Shades more amusing than anything. It's funny the things people get so passionate about. Remember Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code? Same type of thing.

  4. The article about the family in Siberia just blew my mind. I can't wait to share this with my students. What an incredible tale. Thanks for sharing it!

  5. That article about the family in Siberia is incredible. Imagine living like that, knowing that there were other people in other places but staying where live was so hard.
