Sunday was beautiful here. 78 degrees, no wind, a perfect day to be outdoors. We spent the morning outside in the backyard, and while the boys had on long sleeves, they did not NEED them.
Last night: BLIZZARD! Everything is closed. Schools are closed. Interstate is closed. Airport is closed. DAYCARE is closed. My work is not, but I'm not sure who will keep the boys. It's still very early, not yet 6, so I may end up going in, but right now the possibility of a snow day looms.
EDIT: Boss called at 6! First snow day in almost 6 years! YAY!
(It's still dark outside, so no picture of the snow, sorry.)
Talk about crazy weather! It's supposed to get up to 76 here today. I'm sure it will be even warmer in Alabama this weekend.
ReplyDeleteThey look adorable! We've had upper 60s and 70s weather here in Madison for a few days now, it's been great. I hope it doesn't snow yet!

You know it's coming your way! The whole state of SD is under a blizzard warning today.
ReplyDeleteIt has been beautiful down here. Highs in the upper 70s. Yesterday, I saw one boy at Xander's school in shorts. I am hoping the weather will continue through the weekend. We are headed to Auburn to do some tailgating for Homecoming. Hopefully we will win, but I am not going to hold my breath.

Wow! Scout *does* look a lot like Skye! (And your kids are adorable!)

Snow day?? Already?? It's still in the 60's here in the midwest. I hope it stays that way for a good long time!
ReplyDeleteThe closest we came to a "snow day" last year was a campus wide power outage for two days straight. It was right before Christmas and I got to wrap all the presents without the kids there!
ReplyDeleteI'm in California you see.
Uh oh you're scaring me. We've had beautiful weather here the last couple days but I do NOT want a blizzard!
ReplyDeleteThat's crazy talk! Although our temps are supposed to drop 30 degrees or something like that over the next 24 hours. Stay warm and safe. BTW - love that quilt in the pics. And the kids are pretty cute too.
ReplyDeleteYour kids are so adorable. Yay!! for snow days!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to take advantage of the nice weather by playing outside. :) Did you make the quilt? It's pretty!
ReplyDeleteI did not make this quilt. It's a super cheap one that almost fell apart on the first washing. I left it outside that afternoon and the dog chewed a hole in it. No big loss, but annoying.
ReplyDeleteWhat a change! Have a fun day with your boys :)
ReplyDeleteA snow day? Woo hoo! We never get snow where I live. And I live in two cities 400 miles apart!!!!
ReplyDelete78Degrees to a blizzard?! Wow. It's amazing what weather can do sometimes...
ReplyDeleteYour kids are adorable.
