The Sunday Salon: 10 books I'd read in the next 10 days...

With the holidays fast upon me, blogging time is at a premium. Yesterday I wrapped 95% of the gifts and bought the stuff for cookies. Today I'll finish up my last few holiday cards and wrap the last two gifts to be mailed. The Pirate and I will be making sugar cookies, chocolate mint cookies, and chocolate dipped pretzels. (I hope.) Once the baking is done, I'll have one more sewing project to do and that's pretty much it until Christmas Eve.

I probably won't get much any reading done, but if I were to magically be able to read for the next 10 days I'd read the following 10 books (one for each remaining day of 2008). In no particular order:

  1. For a Few Demons More by Kim Harrison
  2. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne
  3. Lady of Quality by Georgette Heyer
  4. 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher
  5. An Ice Cold Grave by Charlaine Harris
  6. From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris
  7. Love Walked In by Marisa de los Santos
  8. Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
  9. Whichever In Death books I'm up to now
  10. War and Peace by Tolstoy (What? if I'm already dreaming...)
What do you hope to read between now and the end of the year?

(The idea from this post was blatantly stolen from alisonwonderland at So Many Books, So Little Time.)

  5. I am actually trying to decide what I want to read next, now that I've finished the Twilight Series. I have some time off from work right before the new year begins and I keep fantasizing about all the books I want to read. :-)

  6. I doubt I will even finish The Grapes of Wrath, but I may be able to fit in The Secret Life of Bees as well. I might as well put War and Peace on my list too since we're dreaming here ;-)

  8. Hmmm...realistically I will finish the Teagarden book by Charlaine Harris that I am reading. I may even be able to read From Dead to Worse by Charlaine Harris...assuming I get it from PBS in time.

  9. Oh I loved this list. I might steal it and use it in a few days. I really loved Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, hope you do get to that one!

Realistically, I'm hoping to finish my current book, Oracle Night by Paul Auster and any one other book I've checked out from the library.
